Two Epic Halls: Trading Meets Tournaments
The first hall is all about buying, selling, and discovering hidden gems. Featuring nearly 100 traders, businesses, and publishers, this space is a dream for card collectors in New Zealand. You’ll find Pokémon cards, sports cards, Magic: The Gathering, One Piece, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Dragon Ball, and more, from sealed product at retail prices to slabbed grails.
This year we have vendors flying in from Australia, ensuring a diverse mix of product not always available locally. If you're hunting for rare cards or simply browsing to grow your collection, New Zealand card collectors will feel right at home here.
The second hall is all about high-level play and TCG tournaments. Expect serious competition and thrilling matchups, including:
Flesh and Blood World Tour Events >
Grand Archive Quicksilver Cup >
Disney Lorcana New Zealand Open >
Yu-Gi-Oh! New Zealand Open >
These events bring together top-level players for some of the most exciting matches you’ll see at any trading card show in the country.
What to expect on the Auckland Card Show main stage
The main stage will be hosted by Asad from Pokécollection and Auckland Card Show founder Prof. Rare. With years of community engagement and a deep connection to the hobby with his YouTube channel now 16 years old, Asad will help guide the audience through two full days of live entertainment.
The schedule includes box breaks of some incredible products, audience pack battles with great prizes, live podcast recordings including Palms Off Gaming’s POGcast, and panels that explore different aspects of the collecting hobby.
One of the most exciting new additions is the Disney Quest. Attendees will have the chance to win prizes by trading with others in the crowd to get all 3 cards in the Quest. This will take place four times across the weekend with up to 100 packs of Disney Lorcana being given out each time. With thanks to Vidcom, all main stage events will also be streamed live for fans who want to catch the action online. You will be able to watch the show via the Auckland Card Show YouTube Channel >
VIP Bag Exclusives
For collectors who want the ultimate experience, the VIP Bag in 2025 includes over $250 RRP worth of value. Inside, you’ll find a wide variety of sealed product & sponsor exclusives. The VIP experience also includes early access to the venue, making it ideal for serious buyers, dedicated collectors, and fans who want a head start.
Four Grading Services On Site
Auckland Card Show 2025 features four professional grading options available directly at the event. These include Premier Card Grading, PSA, CGC, and ACE. Whether you are grading sports cards, Pokémon cards, or other collectables, these companies provide attendees with the chance to submit cards without needing to ship overseas.
Learn, Trade, and Play
In addition to shopping and tournaments, the show offers learn-to-play areas where new players can get taught how to play games such as Flesh and Blood, Grand Archive, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Gundam, and One Piece and the exclusive new Riftbound. There are also free play zones where attendees can casually battle, test decks, or teach friends a new game. Trade tables at the venue give fans a chance to connect, swap cards, and deepen their engagement in the collecting hobby.
Stream Your Pack Openings
Attendees who want to share their experience with a wider audience can visit the Stream Booth, where you can open packs live on the Auckland Card Show YouTube channel. Whether you're opening Pokémon cards, sports cards or showing off your new purchases, this is a fun way to be part of the growing online collector community.
New for 2025: Merch, Comics, Tattoos
Auckland Card Show 2025 introduces even more experiences for attendees. Based on popular demand, official merchandise will be available for purchase, including tees, hoodies, card folders, and branded tote bags. Comic Corner features a curated selection of exhibitors selling not just cards, but collectible comics as well. For those looking to make the experience truly unforgettable, there will be four incredible tattoo artists on site offering fandom-themed ink, from Pokémon and Dragon Ball to One Piece and more. Each artist will be taking walk-ins on both days.
Food, Parking, and Payment Tips
