Auckland Card Show is seeking a range of passionate volunteers to help with the organisation of our 2025 show. Whether you have experience or not, if you are interested in being a volunteer, we want to hear from.

2025

Age Requirement: The minimum age requirement for all volunteer positions is 16.
Working Hours Requirement: Volunteers will need to commit to one full day. This will include breaks to enjoy the show.
No Experience Necessary: Depending on the role, we only require passionate people who want to be a part of Auckland Card Show's continued success. Some roles such as truck drivers and videographers do require experience.
Application Status: We will contact you from auckland@cardshowcompany.com only If you are successfully chosen to be a volunteer at the show.
Availability: If you are part of the event crew, you can choose to decide to volunteer both days of the event or one full day.
Training: Upon arrival you will be given an induction into the event and your duties whilst volunteering. All tools and relevant training will be provided before your volunteering duties commence.
Representing: While volunteering, you are representing the Auckland Card Show and the Card Show Company. During your volunteer hours, you are not permitted to buy, sell, or trade with vendors, guests, or attendees. However, once your volunteering shift is over, you are welcome to participate in buying, selling, or trading during your personal time at the event, but not while representing our brand.

Roles at the show
Learn to play booths & TCG events
Required: August 8th - 10th 2025.
Experienced Grand Archive or Yu-Gi-Oh! player? Want to help people discover Riftbound? Can you judge a Disney tournament. Share your knowledge and teach people to learn these games and experience the show from another perspective.
Event Crew
We are seeking general crew members to help with the setup at the Auckland Showgrounds on August 7th 2025.
This role requires you to be available between 9am & 5pm on the day.
Event days: August 8th - 10th 2025.
We will need volunteers for numerous roles on the day.
Responsibilities generally include:

Assisting with ticketing.

Assisting with crowd management.
-
Entry and exit control.
-
Checking entry passes at the hall doors.
-
Clean-up and pack-out.
-
Other event based activities.
We need a two day commitment from volunteers. Volunteers will be assigned shifts to ensure ample break time and the opportunity to enjoy the event. If you'd like to attend a specific event or need a break at a certain time, please include those details in your application form.
Videographers
Required: August 7th - 10th 2025.
We're seeking photographers & videographers who are eager to capture the vibrant atmosphere of Auckland Card Show 2025 by photographing key events, box breaks, pack battles, guests, products and branding. To apply, you must have photography / videography experience and be able to perform post-edit touch-ups before submitting a selection of photos to us. Please also include a link to your portfolio, website, or other relevant work as part of your application.
Stage assistants
Required: August 9th - 10th 2025.
As a stage assistant you will help with the organisation of the stage in our expo hall. This requires someone who is organised and comfortable with being around large crowds. Typical duties include prepping the stage for various on stage events, clearing down the stage, assisting with giveaways, box breaks, pack battles and issuing stage event tickets etc. In this role, you may or may not be in front of the camera, recorded or broadcast on live stream.
